PreCanskate Tuesday & Thursday 5:40-6:15pm (Tamitik)
FIRST DAY OF SKATING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30/08
This program teaches 3-5 year olds the fundamentals of skating in a fun and creative way. Games, songs, on ice coloring and FUN are the basis of this program. Skaters in PreCanskate can move on to hockey, figure skating or just recreational fun.
Canskate Tuesday & Thursday 4:55-5:45pm (Tamitik)
FIRST DAY OF SKATING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30/08
This program is a Learn to Skate program for all skaters ages 5 and up. Participants can earn up to 35 badges while they learn fundamental skating skills. Children are grouped by age and skating ability and will be prepared to move on to hockey, figure skating or recreational fun.
PreTest ***PRETEST SKATERS MUST PAY AN ADDITIONAL $30 FOR SKATE CANADA INSURANCE IF IT WAS NOT PAID IN FALL SCHOOL.

FIRST DAY OF SKATING MONDAY SEPTEMBER 29/08
This program is for skaters who have completed their Stage 4 badge and wish to develop more of their figure skating skills. This program provides group instruction but skaters are also given the opportunity to work on their own. This program is a good stepping stone to the StarSkate/CompetitiveSkate level. Skaters will have the opportunity to have their own solo, private lessons and may participate in competitions or exhibitions.
Refund Policy – Any request for refunds must be made in the first two weeks of the skating season in writing to: snow valley skating club, box 98, kitimat, bc v8c 2g6. a $20 administration fee and insurance fees will not be refunded. If you have any questions regarding refunds please contact eduarda martel at (250) 632-3179.
Concession Hours
The Concession is our major fundraiser and the way we keep our fees down for ALL programs. You are responsible for concession hours dependent on your package - see Concession form for details...or contact Shannon Dos Santos @ (250) 632-3113.
PreCanskate Full Season = 6 hrs, Half Season = 4 hrs
Pre-Test Full season = 14hrs, Half Season = 8hrs
Canskate Full season = 10 hrs Half Season = 6 hrs
2nd Child ½ # hrs - Max. per family = 22 hrs

Payment information: In full: Cash or cheque dated no later than the first day of the session start date OR Post-dated cheques accepted in equal amounts dated Oct. 1, Nov. 1, Dec. 1. Cheques made out to SVSC.
We, the undersigned, give our approval for the above named skater to participate in the Snow Valley Skating Club’s current season activities. We assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation, including transportation to and from said activities and do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the Snow Valley Skating Club and its organizers, professional and amateur coaches, participants and persons transporting the skater to and from activities from any claim arising out of any injury to the skater. We further agree that the skater will abide by the rules and regulations laid down by the Snow Valley Skating Club and will return, if asked, any costumes provided to the skater by the club.
